The R&aD Department of Novadays (Novadays Research) has been responsible for the first pilot project to test the provision of public transport services by bus with vehicles without driver. In the project have participated engineers, jurists and economists, obtaining a strategic knowledge so that the company can lead the advising to Governments and companies in the next commercial deployment of these technologies.
The CITYMOBIL2 project has been co-financed by the European Commission through the 7th Framework Programme. Novadays has been the only Spanish company participating in the project, collaborating with technology centers, universities, public research organizations and high-tech companies across Europe. The project has been carried out in the scientific and Technological Park of Miramón (San Sebastián).
Novadays research is already doing new R & D projects aimed at continuing to create the technical, financial and legal knowledge necessary to implement these technologies.
