The water sector facing digital transformation and the circular economy: Innovaugas 4.0

14 January 2022 - The water sector and, in particular, the public entities responsible for the management of the water cycle in the different Spanish basins and regions are facing an important modernisation process, through investments in their digitalisation and green transformation, which are financed with funds from the entities themselves or with funds from the European Union, regional or Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.

In this context, Novadays has been awarded the tender to manage the Technical Office of the project. Innovaugas 4.0 by the entity in charge of the management of this cycle in Galicia, Augas de Galicia. For four years, Novadays will provide technical, legal and financial support to Augas, to make an investment of more than 7 million euros in the modernisation of the entire Galician water system.

Three challenges will make up the main object of these investments, being executed through public procurement procedures for innovation, with the aim of creating new solutions that improve those existing today in the market and allow Augas de Galicia to strengthen its position as a reference entity in the incorporation of technology in the management of the water cycle.

With this project, Novadays increases its national and international experience in large projects in the water sector, while continuing its expansion as an expert in the digital and green transformation of the public sector.

Innovaugas 4.0 will enable the digital and green transformation of the entire water management cycle in Galicia.

Novadays will provide technical, legal and financial support during all the years of the project.
