137 million to purchase innovative cybersecurity solutions

The National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE) under the Secretary of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (SEDIA) and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation is working to launch the main call for its program in innovative public procurement at the end of this month.

137 million euros will be earmarked for small and medium-sized companies. With innovative public procurement, a relatively unexplored administrative action in Spain, the government hopes to find cybersecurity solutions that are so innovative that they have not even reached the market yet.

It is a mechanism with which INCIBE aims to promote innovation in a sector, cybersecurity, which is crucial to ensure the safest possible digitalization at a time when the challenges in this area are enormous and continue to grow exponentially.
