DIGIZITY, the largest R&D project of PERTE for the electric and connected vehicle, starts its second phase, which will include its implementation with passengers. Valentín Alonso (General Manager of Avanza) and Natalia Chueca (Mayoress of Zaragoza) presided over the event that took place in Zaragoza.

DIGIZITY began its journey with the aim of automating, decarbonizing and digitizing urban transport with a smart, connected and efficient bus. The project, led by Avanza, also has the participation of five other leading companies in its sector (IRIZAR, JEMA, HISPACOLD, TELNET and IDNEO), three technology centers (ITAINNOVA, from Aragon; CTAG, from Galicia; and TECNALIA, from the Basque Country) and Novadays, a consulting firm specializing in public management, in addition to the special collaboration of Vodafone as a provider of 5G connectivity technology. This involves the integration of the value chain of one of the segments of the automotive sector: bus transport. Thus uniting bus manufacturers, engines, components and on-board systems, telecommunications equipment and a global mobility operator.
