Novadays accompanies the Xunta de Galicia in the strategic dialogue with the sector to know its industrial and technological Capabilities in the framework of the new Strategic Initiative of the Aerospace, Security and Defense Industry 2025-2030.

Last July 22 in Santiago de Compostela, the Regional Minister of Economy and Industry, María Jesús Lorenzana, presented to the ecosystem the Strategic Initiative of the Aerospace, Security and Defense Industry 2025-2030 to open with them a process of strategic dialogue(questionnaire-initiative-estratexica-cas.pdf) in order to know their real needs in the short, medium and long term to adapt the support and investment instruments that are being designed and, thus, contribute to maximize the results, effects and impacts of the Initiative.

In this context, Novadays accompanies the Xunta in the design of the instruments that will realize these objectives, leading the process of identifying technological and industrial Capabilities in Galicia, through strategic dialogue with the sector. an innovative action never done before in the context of industrial and innovation policy in Spain.

Among the mechanisms to be used is the Pre-commercial Public Procurement, which will contribute to generate real development opportunities for the local ecosystem, aligning the needs of the public sector with the potential of the Galician productive fabric. This instrument is key to promote all the existing industrial potential in Galicia, which, according to different analyses, has a high capacity for the production of many of the components that are in demand.

The strategy contemplates a direct public investment of 183 million euros over the next five years, which will mobilize up to 900 million euros through different public-private partnership formulas, seeking to consolidate a highly competitive industrial ecosystem.

The Xunta de Galicia, also relies on the experience it has in promoting innovative sectors and application of high technology such as unmanned aerial vehicles and all the activity developed around it materializing in the Aerospace Pole of Galicia, in whose design and development has been accompanying Novadays to the Xunta since its inception, more than 10 years ago.
