Novadays advances in its commitment to Artificial Intelligence along with major companies in the automotive industry

10/09/2024

Stellantis Group, the fourth largest automaker by capitalization in the world, Novadays and six other technology partners will develop over the next 48 months a major industrial transformation project using Artificial Intelligence.

The application of artificial intelligence in industry has become one of the great challenges to be faced by the different productive sectors. The automotive sector, one of the main high-tech sectors and of great consolidation in Spain, is not lagging behind, transforming its manufacturing processes to gain efficiency and competitiveness.

Specifically, the IA4Q-Artificial Intelligence for Quality and Inspection in Industrial Plants project, focused on quality inspection, will be developed through 19 projects aimed at the development of technologies based on artificial intelligence, to be carried out between 2024 and 2027.

The project will be developed in partnership with companies specialized in the sector (Atria Innovation, ASAI, Electroingenium, Novadays and IFC Team) and with research and technological development centers such as ITA-Instituto Tecnológico de Aragón and the University of Zaragoza.

In total, 10 million euros will be invested, co-financed through the TransMisiones program, the Center for Technological Development and Innovation (CDTI) and the State Research Agency (AEI).

Novadays engineers and consultants will bring their knowledge in the use of AI to perform quality control tasks, acquired in recent years assisting multiple public entities in their digitization plans and programs. The collaboration with the private sector will allow Novadays to acquire knowledge on the application of AI in highly complex environments (such as one of the large automotive factories in Spain) and deepen the industrialization of all these products and technological solutions.

The project reinforces Novadays' technological Capabilities in the use of Artificial Intelligence for inspection and control functions.
