Bilbao's Low Emission Zone comes into force

On June 15, 2024, the Bilbao ZBE came into force, regulated by the ordinance approved by the Bilbao City Council Plenary.

Bilbao's Low Emission Zone (LEZ) is designed to improve the quality of life of its citizens.

This measure, covered by the Climate Change and Energy Transition Law, is applied in large cities to improve air quality, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and mitigate noise.
