Novadays deploys the first transport service with driverless buses in Spain

02/06/2016

Novadays R&D department (Novadays Research) has been responsible for the first pilot project to test the provision of public transport services by bus with driverless vehicles. The project has involved engineers, lawyers and economists, obtaining strategic knowledge for the company to lead the advice to governments and companies in the next commercial deployment of these technologies.

The CityMobil2 project has been co-funded by the European Commission through the Seventh Framework Programme. Novadays has been the only Spanish company participating in the project, collaborating with technology centers, universities, public research organizations and high-tech companies across Europe. The project has been carried out in the Scientific and Technological Park of Miramón (San Sebastian).

Novadays Research is already working on new R&D projects aimed at continuing to create the technical, financial and legal knowledge necessary to implement these technologies.
