The application of technology to improve the safety of citizens is key in these times. Novadays already has a great track record in projects and initiatives for the application of high technology for this purpose, both in prevention and emergency management.

Now, it is moving forward in this area with two new projects. These, led and coordinated by the National Police, are aimed at combating the illicit trafficking of cultural property (DULCINEA II) and organized crime and drug trafficking in the Campo de Gibraltar and the Canary Islands-West Africa axis (PLUTARCO PRECURSOR).

Both projects use technological tools to detect possible criminal acts while sharing this information and cooperating with other international agencies and platforms.

DULCINEA II and PLUTARCO were presented at a kick-off meeting in the Port of Valencia. The V Conference on Communication of the European Funds for Homeland Security, promoted by the Ministry of the Interior, has marked the beginning of these two projects, which are expected to have a high direct impact on the security of citizens.
