On October 28th went on sale in major Spanish and Latin American bookstores the first two books of the Novadays Collection of Public Policy and Public Management. This initiative, promoted by Novadays and Aranzadi publishing house, is aimed at civil servants and public employees, as well as academics who research in public policy and public management, sharing models and successful experiences created by the company over recent years.
Public management, a highly complex activity that involves thousands of professionals, requires a scientific and technical approach that makes it possible to broaden the results, effects and impacts of these activities, as well as to guarantee their coherence and relevance. With these objectives in mind, the new collection aims to establish itself as a reference in this field and to provide a space for all experts who wish to share their knowledge on public policy and public management.
For 20 years, Novadays has been working with its public sector clients at all levels of government (state, regional and local) in characterizing public problems, designing public policies to address them and implement these policies through the full potential of public management, through plans, programs, projects and various instruments. All this knowledge is now available in the Novadays and Aranzadi collection of public policies and public management.
The first book in the collection introduces a new paradigm in strategic design through the concept of strategic public policy management, offering an integrative approach that combines political science and organizational management. Through models and case studies based on decades of experience, it explores the effective implementation of policies in key sectors such as transport, energy, innovation, employment and the circular economy.
The book offers an introduction to the model of Strategic Management of Public Policies as a new form of management, accessible learning of the theoretical and practical model with the Novadays Pyramid and practical case studies in various public policies to apply the theoretical model introduced.
The second book in the collection is a comprehensive guide to Public Procurement of Innovation and Circular (PPI+C), integrating public procurement of innovation and circularity, offering an essential strategic framework for the implementation of innovative and sustainable public policies. The work presents public procurement as a means to promote the circular economy and at the same time boost innovation in public services. Novadays presents two modalities of public procurement, Circular Innovation and Innovative Circularity, analyzing from theory to practice the phases of the procurement procedure: preparation, tendering, implementation and evaluation. This framework provides tools to contract managers and public policy makers seeking a positive shift towards integrative innovation and sustainability paradigms.
The collection is already available in the main Spanish bookstores and online shopping platforms.
