This year, the Community of Madrid allocates 6 million euros to the INVESTIGO Program to promote the hiring of young people specialized in R&D&I and who can develop research projects in public and private centers. The amount of the grants per person and year will range between 22,405 and 33,108 euros depending on the degree. This is the third edition of this initiative, which has so far benefited a total of 820 people.

The Governing Council has approved this week the allocation of this initiative of the Regional Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, which will cover the labor costs (salaries and Social Security contributions) of the new employees for a period of twelve months on a full-time basis. The amount per person hired per year will range between 22,405 and 33,108 Euros, depending on the degree.

The requirement is that they must be under 30 years of age, registered as unemployed and with the appropriate training and profile in the field of R&D&I (Master's Degree, Degree, Bachelor's Degree, Engineering, Architecture, Diploma, Technical Engineering, Technical Architecture, PhD or FP of intermediate or higher degree).

The beneficiaries of the subsidies may be public or private organizations, universities, technology centers or companies. Of the overall investment, 4 million will be linked to the development of projects that do not have the character of economic activity, by research and knowledge dissemination organizations, regardless of the nature of the contracting company.

The concession will follow the simplified procedure of competitive concurrence, in order of entry of applications and until the credit is exhausted. Applications may be submitted from the day following the publication of the extract of the call for applications in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid through the website of the electronic headquarters at www.comunidad.madrid.
